Do I need a referral from a doctor to get an appointments?

No. You may book an appointment directly with us.

 

How long does a scan take to perform?

Approximately 30 - 40 minutes for a specific body area and approximately 60 mintues for a full body scan.

 

How long does it take to get the results back?

We pride ourselves with having a prompt turnaround. In most cases, our Board Certified Thermographers will have the results back to you within 1 - 2 weeks. Fast processing is also available for an additional fee.

 

Can I have a thermogram if I'm pregnant or nursing?

Yes, you may. This is a harmless procedure, completely non-invasive with no radiation or physical contact involved.

 

How often will I need a thermogram?

Your initial scan will dictate what follow-up is necessary. With no suspicious findings, most follow-up recommendations will be 12 months. Scans that warrant monitoring typically will be 3-6 months. 

What to Expect 

 

 

Preparation for your scan is simple but crucial to the accuracy of the results.  Please be advised if you do not follow these simple guidelines the accuracy of your results will be compromised. 

 

Before the exam: 

 

*No smoking for a minimum of 2 hours.

*No vigorous exercise 2 hours prior.

*No massage, chiropractic adjustments or physical therapy the day of the scan.

*Avoid the application of deodorants, anti-perspirants, liniments, creams or lotions, including but not limited to perfume and cologne.

*Avoid strong sunlight the day of and sunburn in the days preceding your appointment.

*Remove all jewelry and earrings.

*Long hair should be worn up.

*It is very important to wear loose fitting clothing.
